I'm a Hero

Look at me, I'm Hiro Nakamura.  Time and space mean nothing to me.  Crossing either is as easy as walking from one room to the next, but using my ability with accuracy is something else altogether.

Summer Begins Now

This is so exciting, I'm done with everything and ready for my vacation to begin.  Summer has went by so quickly and I feel like I've done so much this summer.  It all began with summer classes...I completed three of those and hopefully will complete college on time.  I also completed my accounting internship which was awesome, while taking summer class.  Now I'm ready for my vacation to begin as I head off to Hawaii.

I'm kinda sad that my internship is over, I really enjoyed it and learned a lot about "real" work while I was there.  My boss was a great mentor and showed me about how real accounting is done.  My co-workers taught me how to use the accounting software and in no time, I was like a pro.  I will miss lunches when I would get to watch QC copies of DVD's some classics and others that are brand new.  I will also miss the other interns as well as the internship events, all which i had lots of fun.  I worked with many really great people and learned so much during my time here.

I'm all packed up and ready for the 6+ hour drive up north.  I will finally be back in the Bay and will enjoy my really short time there celebrating a couple birthdays.  This is definitely a summer to remember.  I can't wait to go to Hawaii.

Only in College

So last night was an interesting night.  Around 9 p.m. a girl (probably drunk) comes over and knocks on my apartment door.  She is wrapped in a towel and has a 2 piece pink bikini underneath.  She tells me to hold her towel while she pours a bottle of kirkland signature water over her.  I have to admit that she was pretty hot but I couldn't help but think about the similarities between Paris Hilton and Carl's Jr. and her and Costco brand water.  Kinda funny and hot at the same time.

I also wanted to remind myself how well I'm doing at meeting my goals in my nike +.  This device is pretty neat and I'm able to track my progress including distance, time, calories burned etc.  I also like the challenge feature where other people using this system try to motivate you to reach your goals.  The downside that I see is the sensor having a very short battery life.  Overall, I would rather have the Garmin Forerunner 305, however, I like the user interface and challenge option of the nike +.  If the Garmin unit was set up so that users could challenge each other and show progress in meeting goals, then I would definitely trade in my nike + for the forerunner.  Going to run tomorrow morning, so g'nite.

The Summer Challenge

Don't ever shop at Circuit City, they are the most inefficient retail company.  I waited 20 minutes in line (I was second in line to begin) to pick up a nike + sports armband that I had purchased online.  After waiting in line, I was told to stand to the side once I had paid while somebody was going to check in the back for my item.  I waited another 15 minutes.  I started getting pissed because there is just no excuse for anyone to have to wait 15 minutes to get an item that I had previously ordered on their website and had already paid for.  Just bad customer service...

But now, I'm all set because I have a really cool item that should keep my interest for at least a month.  I tested it out and it is pretty cool.  I created a nike+ account which will allow me to keep track of my runs.  I did a little bit of walking today.  I need to find a good mix to run to.  Actually it's my dad's ipod, that i'm just borrowing...but he'll get another one soon when he or my sister gets a computer.

My family came to visit me this weekend.  Spent lots of time eating.  I even got the chance to show off my cooking/baking skills.  I also got to have dim sum in Rolland Heights, which I haven't had in such a long time since I've been in LA.  Also got to spend time in Laguna Beach and Venice.  I swear, that in Laguna Beach BMW's are a dime a dozen.  My Bimmer would blend right in.  Well, I'm glad that they came to visit me and I'll see them in a month when we take a family trip to Hawaii.

I loan because I care

I stumbled across this really cool site that can help change the world.  By loaning money with 0% interest, to business entrepreneurs in need, I can really help make their dreams a reality.  So far, I've decided to donate to 2 individuals, that will be able to use my loan to build their business and in the process create a better standard of living for themselves, their families, and their community.  I hope that their business idea will be a success and that one day, they will be able to help others that may be more needy.

Can I Handle This?

I'm having a really good time at work and getting a better feel for the company after almost 2 weeks of work.  I'm able to complete projects quicker and have more time for myself.  I really wish that I could find the energy to put up with this summer class that I'm taking though.  After waking up early to go to the gym to work out, I have work from 9-6 then class from 7-10.  I was invited to an event to chill with much cooler people on Thursday after work, but had to turn it down because of this summer class.  That really blows.

Today summer session II began and it was my first day of night class, and I really had the most difficult time staying awake.  I would much rather be doing something more interesting but I need the credits if I want to stay on track and pursue the degree that I'm going for.  I miss my friends up in Nor Cal and wish that I could just be up there.  I'm also in the process of building up some muscle mass before my Hawaii trip.  I'm training when I have time but feel that I'm really not getting anywhere.  My health/image > internship > summer class

Feels Like Summer

This is my first post on a blog that was quickly created a couple minutes ago.  I really don't know what to say on these things.  It was actually really random how I just decided to make one of these because I never had time for a blog when school was in session.  I guess I should tell people about myself although I believe that I'm the only one reading this because I haven't told anyone about it yet.  I'm currently a fourth year student studying business at LMU and living in a sweet apartment on campus for the summer.

Summer is definitely my favorite season because the weather is just perfect and school is out.  I am filling my summer with all kinds of great activities.  I just started my internship at the WB 2 days ago and am already looking forward to getting as much as I can from it.  This is the coolest job I've ever had and am already glad that I chose this over my other offers.   I really hope that I get to meet famous people, but even if I don't i'll still be happy.  My co-workers as well as my supervisor seem like really awesome people.  Today, I learned about a software program that I'll be using to be creating work orders and such, not the most fun, but I'm sure it will only get better from here.  I wish I could write much more but tomorrow is a early morning and a very long day considering I have a final for a summer class that I'm taking at LMU.  g'nite self.
